Boats, booze, beats and bikinis fill the Bridgewater Channel during the frenzied weekend-long party. The reason is simple. Jobe sported one of the most spectacular boats on the channel. Jobe's two-story bamboo-clad boat is also thatched with palm leaves. To make his boat stand out, Jobe turned his boat into a floating palapa bar. Adding that there were people partying on his boat that he didn't know.

Jobe wasn't the only one seeking attention Saturday. The channel was like a parade of boats peacocking through the water. It was his first trip to Havasu. William Guzman of Riverside, Calif.

He said the party is better than he thought it would be. Roxana Anas of Los Angeles said she plans on drinking and dancing on her boat all weekend long. She has been to Havasu for spring break, but this was her first time visiting for Memorial Day weekend. She said the partying this weekend is better than spring break.

Lorinda said she came with some friends who took a boat out to Copper Canyon, but she decided to stay behind and walk aboard the docked boats of strangers in the channel.
